Since some things just can’t go in the garbage, the city of Lincoln and Lancaster County have scheduled 10 events throughout 2016 to make it as easy as possible to dispose of these products.

- Saturday April 2 – Wal-Mart South: 87th & Hwy 2 – 9am – 1pm
- Saturday May 7 – Zoetis: 601 West Cornhusker Hwy – 9am – 1pm
- Friday June 3 – Lincoln Southwest High School: 14th & Pine Lake Rd – 9am – 1pm
- Friday June 24 – Union College: South 52nd & Cooper Ave – 9am – 1pm
- Friday August 27 – Lincoln Industries: 600 West E St – 9am – 1pm
- Saturday September 24 – Continental: 4021 N 56th St – 9am – 1pm
- Saturday October 22 – Woods Park: South 31st & J St – 9am – 1pm
- Friday November 18 – Appointment Only: Call (402)441-8021 to schedule

- Lawn & Garden – Lighter fluid/torch fluid, Pesticides, Flea/tick products, Herbicides, Insect Sprays, Insecticides, Pool Chemicals, Small propane cylinders(used for camping.
- Automotive – Power steering fluid, Brake fluid, Transmission fluid, Grease removers, Upholstery cleaners, Mixed gasoline, Old gasoline.
- Home Improvement – Oil-based stains, Adhesives, Turpentine, Furniture stripper, Wood preservatives, Oil-based paint, Paint thinner.
- Household – Spot removers, Mercury thermometers & thermostats, Bleach cleaners, Mothballs, Drain/Oven Cleaners, Small capacitors, Compact bulbs (CFLs), Glues, Fluorescent tubes, Solvent-based polishes.
Do Not Bring
- Latex paint, Antifreeze, Unused medicines, Asbestos, Batteries, Explosives, Fire Extinguishers, Ammunition, Fertilizers, Tires, Household trash, Used oil, Electronic waste, Large propane cylinders.
