Residential garbage & refuse services includes:
- One 96 gal. receptacle with attached lid and wheels for easy transport to and from the curb. A second receptacle can be provided to you for an additional small charge.
- Bulk Items such as furniture, appliances, etc. need to be scheduled for pickup 24 – 48 hours prior to your service day to ensure the items get picked up.
- Once a week curbside pickup – (if you are unable to get your trash to the curb, please call our office & special arrangements can be made)
- Please have all of your waste curbside by 6am on your service day or put it out the night before
Yard waste: Grass & Leaves are the only items that nees to be separated from your trash
- Yard waste must be separated from regular household trash from April 1 – November 30
- Branches, Weeds, Garden waste, Vines, Bushes, Flowers are TRASH
- Branches must be cut in lengths under 5 feet long & bundled in manageable sized bundles. If it takes 2 people to get it to the curb, it’s probably not a manageable size bundle.
- Grass & Leaves must be disposed in biodegradable paper bags that can be purchased at most hardware & grocery stores throughout Lincoln.
- Plastic bags of any kind cannot be used to dispose of grass or leaves.
- Yard waste can be disposed in your own receptacle as long as it does not exceed 35 gallons in size & has a lid. 45 gallon & larger trash cans are prohibited as stated in the Lincoln Municiple Code 8.32 which you can read here.
- Yard waste has 3 seasons.
- Spring: April – May (call for pricing)
- Fall: Oct – Nov (call for pricing)
- Full: April 1 – November 30 (call for pricing)
- Special one time pickups of yard waste can also be arranged. Please contact our office for information about our On-Call Yardwaste.
- Excess bags of yard waste between December 1st – March 31st is subject to extra charges. You can have up to 5 bags of trash/yard waste outside your can/tote without additional charges during these months. Additional bags are subject to our on-call yard waste pricing.
- We offer “single stream” recycling, which means no sorting for you. Just put all of your recycling materials in the recycling receptacle provided for you.
- A 64 gal or 96 gal. receptacle with attached lid & wheels will be provided to you for all of your recycling materials
- Conveniently picked up on the same day as your trash.

- Electronics & Batteries
- Kleenex, Tissues, Toilet paper & Paper towels
- Clothes, hangers & Makeup / makeup containers
